What is ART?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Is a non-invasive therapy that can remove negative symptoms, sensations and images by using eye movement. You can work through your problem without even having to talk about it! ART offers rapid relief from symptoms in as little as 1 session. ART is not meant to replace therapy. ART is effective in removing triggers and emotional distress in a short period of time.

How does ART work?

Unlike traditional talk therapy, ART uses a combination of eye movements and guided visualization techniques to help you reprocess traumatic or difficult memories and reframe negative experiences. You can feel immediate relief after one session. Everyone is different and can have a different outcomes. Past studies have shown it can take 1-3 sessions to reprocess an issue. ART is not a cure all. It does require motivation to change and dedication.

If you are experiencing flashbacks, nightmares or have images you cannot get out of your mind, ART may benefit you. Many clients seek ART when feeling emotionally stuck. ART can be used with other therapies as in dialectal behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS) and more.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is not ONLY for trauma.
